EVERYDAY MAKEUP ROUTINE

One of my favourite things to do is buy new makeup! Whenever I do, the first thing that I do when I get home is try on all of the new products and if I love them, I will use them for MONTHS and then finally try something new! Because of this, I have found having an everyday makeup routine very hard!

Everyday makeup should be very natural and something that your skin is comfortable wearing everyday. Once I had found some products that I loved wearing everyday, I was always stuck as to which foundation I should be using (which is not the best considering that foundation is probably the most important thing when it comes to makeup!)

I have now found a makeup routine that I love and I’m very excited to share it with you!

Moisturisers and Primers:

Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer

Shiseido Control Colour

Lancome Hydra Zen

Having sensitive and dry skin, using moisturisers and primers is so important. These three products I use everyday before I put my makeup on so I can ensure that my skin stays well hydrated and soft. This is why I use the Smashbox Hydrating Primer to hydrate my skin before makeup. The Shiseido Control Colour to control the redness on my cheeks and finally, the Lancome Hydra Zen, to moisturise my skin before makeup. If I am not using the Smashbox Hydrating Primer, I will probably use the Prep and Prime from MAC to prime my face. If you have oily skin, I would definitely recommend using the Smashbox primer as it is oil-free and won’t irritate your skin.

Bare Minerals Foundation

Maybelline FitMe Concealer

Jane Iredale Mineral Foundation Powder

I have always been told that using mineral makeup is much better for your skin! As you know if you have been reading my blog, the Jane Iredale mineral makeup is my holy-grail powder but, I have always struggled finding a mineral foundation. That was until I recently went to MECCA and found the Bare Minerals Foundation. I have always heard great things about the Bare Minerals products but I was worried that the foundation wouldn’t have a very good coverage nor would it cover up my skin. Thankfully, I was wrong and found that this foundation is extremely dewy, looks very natural and is so light on my skin. By then applying my Jane Iredale Mineral Powder over the top, it means that my skin is left feeling so light and natural. Finally, I love the Maybelline FitMe Concealer, I have been using it for a while now and will definitely be buying more when it runs out. It covers up any spots that I may have and makes my under-eyes feel really soft!!!

Brows and Lashes:

They’re Real Benefit Mascara

Gimme Brow Benefit

If you know me then you know that I take my lashes and brows very seriously! I have definitely been sucked in to the ‘on fleek’ trend that is going on! The only way that I can keep my brows and lashes ‘on fleek’ is by using my favourite products from Benefit! The They’re Real mascara is the best mascara that I have ever used! It lengthens and darkens my lashes without clumping them! I have tried some other mascaras but I always seem to go back to the They’re Real mascara! Whenever I am going out and want REALLY long lashes, I will use the Roller Lash, another Benefit product. The Gimme Brow is a product that I use everyday to brush and slightly fill in my brows. I don’t know why but I just can’t use a pencil to fill in my eyebrows! I don’t know what is wrong with me but I struggle so much so I find using something like the Gimme Brow much easier to use!!!
