Let’s face it, there is nothing better then baking on a weekend and then enjoying your delicious baked treats during the week! For me, it is not a weekend without baking so that is why I am going to share with you, my chocolate chip cookie recipe. I created this recipe after making Tanya Burr’s Chocolate Cookies except these cookies don’t have any cocoa powder (just in case you want to add cocoa powder, you will need 75g).
Place your oven on 200 degrees celsius and line two baking trays with baking paper
Mix together your butter and sugar in a large bowl. Tip: if you are too impatient like me to wait for the butter to reach room-temperature, melt it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Crack the egg into the mixture.
Stir in the flour.
Pour in the dash of milk.
Break in the block of milk chocolate.
Pick up a small handful of mixture and one piece of chocolate, roll into a ball and place on the tray.
Make sure to place the cookies far apart as they do spread A LOT.
Bake the cookies for 9 minutes or until golden brown – make sure to take the cookies out of the oven as soon as they start looking golden.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Now you will be addicted to these cookies for ages and won’t be able to stop eating them!
